01Who we are
AutoPartsPro is an online marketplace that connects vehicle owners, repair shops and installers with approved sellers of new aftermarket parts and quality-tested used OEM parts. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have.
02Information we collect
We collect only what we need to run the marketplace:
- Account details: your name, email address, phone number and password. Seller accounts also include business name, address, licensing and payout information.
- Vehicle and fitment details: year, make, model, trim, engine, and VIN when you use the vehicle selector or fitment checker.
- Orders and delivery: parts ordered, order history, shipping or pickup address, and delivery contact details.
- Location: an approximate location you allow us to detect, used to show nearby sellers, pickup options and delivery estimates.
- Payment information: handled by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and the last digits of the card, never your full card number.
- Content you create: reviews, part requests, saved lists, seller listings and messages sent to sellers or our support team.
03How we use your information
- To process orders, arrange shipping, pickup or delivery, and show order tracking.
- To match parts to your vehicle and show accurate fitment and compatibility.
- To review and approve seller applications and keep listings accurate and lawful.
- To provide customer support and respond to part requests and warranty questions.
- To send transactional emails such as order confirmations, and marketing emails you opted into.
- To detect fraud, misuse and counterfeit listings, and to meet our legal and tax obligations.
04Location information
If you allow location access, we use an approximate location to estimate delivery times, show local pickup availability, and sort parts by distance. You can decline this and still browse — you simply set your location manually. Location is never sold and is not shared with other customers.
05When we share information
We do not sell personal information. We share it only as needed to fulfil your order and run the marketplace:
- With the seller of the part you bought, so they can prepare and ship it.
- With delivery and courier partners, who receive the pickup and delivery addresses and contact number for that delivery.
- With our payment processor, email provider and hosting providers, who work on our behalf under contract.
- With regulators, courts or law enforcement where the law requires it, or to protect our users and the marketplace.
06Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your cart, saved lists and vehicle selection, and understand how the marketplace is used so we can improve it. You can block cookies in your browser settings, although signing in and checkout may stop working.
07How long we keep information
Order, invoice and tax records are kept as long as the law requires. Account and listing information is kept while your account is open. Reviews may remain published after you close your account but are shown as anonymous. Support conversations are kept for a reasonable period so we can resolve related issues.
08Your choices and rights
To exercise any of these, email support@autospartpro.com from the address on your account.
- Access and correction: request a copy of your personal information or ask us to correct it.
- Deletion: ask us to delete your account and personal information, subject to records we must keep for tax and legal reasons.
- Marketing: unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it, or by contacting us. Order and account emails will still be sent.
- Location: turn location access off at any time in your browser or device settings.
09Security
We protect data with encrypted connections, restricted access for staff and sellers, and review of seller accounts before they can list. No system is completely secure, so please use a strong, unique password and tell us immediately if you suspect unauthorised access.
10Children
The marketplace is intended for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
11Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the marketplace changes. The date at the top shows the current version, and material changes will be announced on the site or by email.
